Join a Major Gifts Coaching Circle

Many nonprofits have, at most, one paid staff member assigned to manage and implement their fundraising programs. When the decision is made to add a major gifts program to the list of responsibilities for this individual, many find themselves overwhelmed and lacking the expertise and confidence to succeed in this new assignment.

Coaching Circles are intended to provide low-cost consulting expertise and coaching services to new and established development professionals seeking to become more effective major gift fundraisers. In the Major Gifts 1 Coaching Circle, participants will work through a simple, hands-on curriculum designed to help them accomplish the following:

  • Develop an effective case for philanthropic support; Clarify fundraising priorities
  • Assess return on investment for the organization’s primary fundraising strategies in order to increase resources allocated to major gift efforts
  • Develop major gift portfolios and appropriate program parameters for sustained success
  • Advance key philanthropic relationships and make successful major gift solicitations

Each Coaching Circle will be organized as follows:

  • A maximum of six participants with one coach
  • A total of six, monthly group meetings (3 hours per meeting)
  • Intake meetings with each participant to assess major gift readiness and identify coaching needs
  • Up to three hours of additional coaching per participant to address critical issues related to each participant’s ability to succeed in executing his/her major gifts strategy

Cost per participant: $1,750

The Excelsior Bay Group is offering its donor segmentation and analysis service to all coaching circle participants at $500 off of the standard price of $2,000. This information can be used to create a personalized donor pipeline or funnel through which prospective individual donors move as they begin and grow their relationship with your organization. Once developed, the donor pipeline becomes the anchor around which to align and integrate all fundraising efforts in order to maximize contributed income to the organization.
